Ham Radio / Amateur Radio is a hobby and beyond this it is a friendly group, and in some cases, a common service. The little town Adoor at Pathanamthitta District from Kerala plays a huge role in the development of Ham Radio. L VENKITESWARA SHARMA (VU2LV), also known as Sharmaji among the world hams, appreciates the services and contributions made to the ham world.
Many famous hams in Kerala and many other parts of India have been licensed with the help of Sharmaji. Adoor Amateur Radio and Disaster Management Club was formed almost a quarter century ago under the leadership of Sharmaji. Its function is not limited to Adoor. Ham Radio has been showcased in many parts of Kerala and the hobby has spread to the public.
